Automatic
Platform Scaling
ReactorLevel's
automatic platform scaling feature adjusts load calculation metrics
to meet the scale of the target server. Service State Determination
policies created for one size machine flow seamlessly to other
platforms, regardless of differences in processing and Disk IO
capabilities.
This flexibility
allows consistent calculation of loads dependent on machine size,
and insures that smaller servers do not become overburdened while
larger servers are capable of taking up the slack.
In emergency
situations machines of differing classes can be quickly brought
into service without worrying about consistent response times
to your users/customers. Even desktop class machines can be "enlisted"
into service to fill a performance gap or as emergency replacements
for failed resources.
