Advanced "Load Curve"
Control
The "load"
experienced by a service is not directly proportional to the amount
of a resource that is being consumed. There is usually a "ramping"
effect in a resource consumption vs. load curve. While the first
40-50% of utilization of a resource might not impact the "load"
on a service very dramatically the load becomes more noticeable
as that resource is consumed. This "non-linear" ramping must be
taken into consideration if accurate determination of load is
to be calculated.
ReactorLevel's
patent pending Service State Determination technology supports
custom load curve calculations, allowing administrators to accurately
define the calculation metrics for their service applications
and environments.
